Point Park University has been a strong member of the downtown Pittsburgh community and has continued to hold the belief that to fully realize their mission the buildings must be operate our buildings to the highest use

With existing buildings making up most of the emissions of their campus, energy reductions and low-hanging fruit savings have been targeted.  These energy efficiency and conservation measures include lighting upgrades, HVAC and domestic water investments and façade improvements.

PPU has embraced LEED on a few projects including the George Rowland White Performance Center which has achieved LEED Gold Certification.

PPU is looking to utilize the HECC efforts to further position their first emissions inventory as well as continue to engage with students, faculty and staff and build consensus on the next set of initiatives and investments to advance climate mitigation while ensuring smart economic sense and business continuity.  The outcome could lead the University to establish a committee that will address climate change and environmental issues.

See our website for continued updates on our Sustainability efforts.
